20x20 lighting

a few years ago i framed out a new attic and subfloor for some storage and to keep some heat in my workspace instead of up under the roof. at that time the cheapest lighting i found was recessed cans and i thought all flourescents too ka while to warm up when the temps are low. i dont have the whole cieling sheetrocked so there are no trim rings. i put 3 rows of 3, but changed one out for a cheap cieling fan. i am now kind of regretting not going with some good flourescent fixtures. any suggestions?

There not cost effiencent, but you can try tungstun or high pressure sodium lamp's.

Tungstun would be best if your going to use a dimmer, HPS are not.

Make sure to not exceed the listings of your can light.

Both will fire right up, go to the biggest Box stores for better selections.

The tungston lamp is more for track lights and in your case will creat a down or cone of light.

The HPS is really the better of these two, it burns brighter than an average lamp and the dispersal is way better.

Maybe your not happy with the conic light cones you have ?
