My garage floor has taken a beating this past year:

Since I built the extension, I moved everything out, then added more ****. Anyhow, I started the long stripping, cleaning and sealing process today.

First round of stripping done. More tomorrow.

Nice work Jim, hello from a fellow Northern Virginian (Loudoun County). I just finished up my garage and decided to not go the VCT route, I have packs now sitting in one of my basement rooms unused.

Finished cleaning and organizing. The floor was stripped, mopped, sealed and polished, as good as it can be.

3 coats of sealer, 4 coats of polish, and it still shows 10 years of abuse. Still, better than it was.

If I were to do it again, porcelain tile all the way! But, the VCT has held up pretty good for the abuse I give it.

Nice progress on the frame.

What stripper are you using? Your technique seems to make relatively easy work of it.

Getting those few minutes at lunch is so valuable - make progress and clear your head at the same time.

Finally done stripping. I have to say, striping is definitely not my thing.

Next, some metal repair, rust patching and priming.

Then I have to decide if I am really going to make it an e-Scooter or not.

Spent 2+ hours cleaning up the worst of the stripping/grinding dust! I hate cleaning, but love the result!

BTW Grinding dust goes EVERYWHERE! It is a serious PITS to get cleaned up. Sadly, with priming, sanding, priming again, sanding, and filling, sanding, plus priming and sanding, this is just the beginning of the PITA!

No, I designed and built it. The only part that is sort of a kit is the hub motor and controller were ordered to mate with each other. Everything else I designed and built.

Thanks,
