20x28 attached garage make over

I recently bought a house with an attached 20x28 garage. The outer walls are brick with plywood interior walls. I am loosing some space on the left side as you can see in the pics by a room the previous owners installed for the washer & dryer. I had previously thought about keeping the room after moving the washer and dryer recepticals in the house because the room was insulated and also was heated. I have since decided to tear down the room to make way to be able to house 2 vehicles because I am taking on a total restoration 1966 Chevelle SS 396/375 numbers matching project I just bought.
In the last couple of days I have torn down the room and picked up a 9 foot overhead cabinet I picked up free on craigslist. Attached are before with the room and after taking it down.
I'll post picks of the cabinets once I get them unbarried from all the rubble. I plan on getting rid of the stand up cabinet in the rear and installing more overhead cabinets to free up floor space but I still want to install some sort or work bench.
The lighting is VERY dim so that's something I will need to figure out soon.
After tearing down the built on room I'm still loosing some space on the left rear side because of the laundry room which I can't do anything about (as my wife says).

Top photo is of the day I bought it. Next two are after I added my junk. Last photo is after tearing down the room.

Well, looks like you have a good start there. Keep coming with the pictures. We like pictures. As far as lighting, light colored walls and lots of lights help. Or you could go with LEDs. It won't take as many that way. Looking forward to the Chevelle build. Keep at it.

Thanks 53PontiacSD.
My electrician suggested LED lights and is working on getting a price for me.
I've been busy with work and haven't been able to get a lot done. Here's what I got done last night. I pulled up the vinyl flooring and hopefully time will allow today to try and take the pressure washer and get up the rest.
My son and I measured the cabinet we got for free off Craigslist and it will fit the entire length of the back wall perfectly. I haven't been able to take an image of it yet because it's burried in debris from tearing down the room.

My plumber is on vacation and when he gets back he's going to look at what it will take to move the pipes into the corner. My thinking at this time is put one of those fiberglass tub sinks in the corner. I'm still debating on whether to put a bench or cabinets on the bottom. I keep looking at Craigslist to see what's out there.
I'm trying to slowly get the shop cleaned out so I can invision how I want to do things. I'm trying not to lose to much floor space and my thinking is to go with as much overhead storage as I can

Worked some more yesterday and pulled up the vinyl flooring and pressure washed the remainder up we couldn't remove with a putty knife. Now I need to figure out what is the best method to get the rest of the glue up.

Finally got the free overhead cabinets uncovered today that I got off of craigslist. I measured and if I cut the overlapping connecting end off it will fit perfect from corner to the end of the wall. I'm going to put a piece of plywood on top I saved from the tear down to put like a shelf on top. My plans are to get my plumber to move the lines into the corner and put in one of those fiberglass sinks from lowes.

By taking out the room I now have 20 feet on that side so I'm glad I did it.

The North Carolina summers are HOT to say the least but the worst part is the from about 2 or 3 o'clock on, which is during the hottest and worst part of the day, the sun is shining DIRECTLY on my garage door. Which with no A/C in there it just gets unbearable to say the least to be in. My wife and I were in the garage Friday and it was 91 degrees with the outside temp being 97 degrees.
Friday we decided to go to Home Depot and get some R-5 insulation and the boys installed it in the big panels Friday night. Yesterday we could tell a difference. Yesterday I went to Advance Auto and bought some 5% heat shield window tint to installed on the windows and my youngest son peiced together the remainder of the R-5 around the window panels while my oldest son tinted the windows.
Plans are today to leave the door closed with the fan on and just see how it is in there by around 5 or 6 o'clock. Weatherman says we will have another day close to 100 degrees.
I want to find something white to put over the insulation because that writing looks trashy and it's driving me crazy!!!! I looked at both Lowes and Home Depot and couldn't find any foam insulation board with just a white side so this is what I had to get.
Any suggestions about what I can get to cover it now would be GREATLY appreciated.
