I am upgrading to 5000 lumen, LED lights, screw in type with a reflector to shine the light down, was told 6 screw light sockets would be more than enough..giving me 30k of lumen..

Just wanted to see if anyone has input

Thanks Tom

Auto restoration. ..so 6 sockets at 5000 a light gives me 30000 lumens or enough at 50 lumens a Sq ft.. 600 Sq ft ÷50 = 30k lumens. .will upgrade to 9 sockets. .

you're fooling yourself if you think that lumens per square foot means anything. You dont mention ceiling height at all. By your description, it sounds like you might be using corn cob lamps. Is that right? If so, nearly all the light is distributed sideways. It seems like this could turn out poorly.
