Here are some pics of the led lights I installed in my messy barn. I cannot believe what a difference they make. I think I need about 3 more and I will be happy. These are 5000k 2664 lumens.

It's amazing how swapping to LEDs can put a smile on a person's face. I know I had a big grin on my face after I switched mine over.

Then you turn around with that big old grin and are able to see how grimey and faded things have become. I lit up the kitchen with a new LED light. Kinda took a turn and have a new wall, 2 new doors, 2 doors that went away, wiring and a trailer load of debris to get rid of.

I installed mine 2 years ago replacing some aged T12s. Amazing difference!
Glad to hear that you have “seen the light”

Maybe its how the pic came out but do you think its enough light or would use go with higher output LED bulbs? Are their weird shadows when you are working on the bench? Also what is the ceiling height? Side note...Go Dawgs!

All these threads are making me want to go LED too. Especially today- I went out to the garage, it's about -5 outside, probably not much warmer inside the garage. My old fluorescent fixtures were about as good as candles until they warmed up.

EEErik, I don't think I could go very much higher on the bulbs, they are 2664 lumens which is pretty bright. I have not noticed no shadows over my workbenches. My ceiling height is 10 feet. The only thing I might do is install three more lights right in the middle because I had to space the other rows off because of the garage door tracks were in the way. What I mean is I could not space each row evenly right across my shop like I wanted so I am going to drop in a few more but I think I could get by with out them if I had too. These lights are extremely bright!
