Hello All - This is a thread to showoff my garage, and get pointers and help along the way. I closed on this house last Wednesday, and was working Thursday and Friday to get the garage setup. Here are the before and after pictures for paint. Any ideas on what color I should paint the brown cabinets? Future plans include updating lighting on ceiling, and adding undercabinet lights where the work bench will go. Lastly, in the last picture is the garden shed, so I am hoping I can cram that badboy full, and keep the garage very clean and tidy.

Here is the firepit I built Thursday out of retaining wall bricks to save some money.

Greetings and welcome! I really like the split level home. You are going to be able to have a really great garage there. Beautiful deck and you have an outbuilding which will really help on storage. Paint makes a huge difference in the garage. You can work that space a lot of different ways depending on your uses of the space.
Thanks for posting and keep us updated!!

NIK: welcome to GJ and looks like a little paint and clean up and you are good to go. it's hard to find all these threads so if you have questions you might want to find threads where members are talking about the subject you need help with and if you can't find your answer maybe ask there.

good luck with the new neighbors.

cheers

I would paint the body of the cabinets black and the doors grey so it will tie in with your other cabinets. Also - do you have doors to get under that deck? Might be a decent place to store a lawnmower or snowblower in the off season.

I have a little garden shed, but I also have access under the stairs.
