I'm getting ready to drywall the ceiling in my barn. I have 2 rooms that are 22'x30'. The sheets will be going across the 22' dimension. I'm trying to decide if there will be a problem with buying 12' and 10' sheets which are readily available, but will give only 2' between the seems of I should special order 14' sheets which are considerably more expensive. I will be borrowing a drywall lift in any case.

I'm probably over-thinking this, it is a barn and it really doesn't have to be perfect.

I hope you plan on using 5/8" board and will have extra support on the lift or you are going to have a lot of broken boards !

Thanks for some reason I hadn't thought of cutting the 12' in half, I got to cutting 10' in half and that wouldn't work, so I quit.
