I got a Hilti 22 volt wrist breaker a couple months ago, the 4 speed high torque model. WOW, this thing ROCKS!! And it should, it was not cheap. I considered a Metabo and the Hilti. Both good drills, but the Hilti seems to be more versatile with the low rpm and high speed in one drill, plus their great warranty. I forget the model number at the moment. I could have gotten 2 Milwaukee 18's for the price, but the Hilti kept calling to me. I may regret it in the future, but at the moment, I am very happy with it. It did not come with the aux handle, but a call to Hilti fixed that, they shipped it out quickly to me. No hammer drilling or impact action, just raw rotational power. Anyone else here have a Hilti cordless drill or tool here and have any input? I am not happy about yet another set of batteries to monitor, already have Bosch, Milwaukee, DeFault, and Metabo batts to worry about, so I hope this is worth the extra money and hassle of yet another type of batteries.

The drill I got is made in China by Hilti, I am not crazy about this fact, but I will admit that it is extremely well made for any country of origin. I prefer to keep the money in country, but that is not always an option. I hope to get a Hilti cordless rotary hammer drill in the future, I already have the batts and charger now.

This is my first post in the Garage journal and I recently joined team Hilti.

I am having an issue with the sf 6h-a22(22volt combo hammer drill/driver). It isn’t working properly but the hilti guys sent me postage to send it in. I should have it back by the end of the week.

The sid 4-a22 impact drill rocks. It has plenty of power and feels great in my hand. I use it all throughout my workday.

The first hilti tool I bought was the sb 4-a22, compact bandsaw. It is very compact and weighs 7-8 lbs. It has a ton of power and the hilti batteries last me what seems like forever. I did break 2 bandsaw blades in the first 2 1/2 months. They were the 14-18tpi
blades and I have since switched to 24tpi. I like how it’s cutting now with more teeth but time will tell.

The bandsaw kit came with a charger, 2- 2.6 batteries, 3 blades and a really nice hilti bag for $329. The bag feels like it will last for a while, which was a plus considering some of the bags I’ve gotten with cordless tools before. The other kit, I bought from someone on craigslist(brand new), included the combo hammer drill/driver, impact drill, 2-3.0 batteries, flashlight, charger and the same tool bag that comes with the bandsaw.

Overall I am very pleased with my hilti 22v tools. I don’t like the fact they’re made in china but if they end up lasting me many good years than I guess I can’t complain. You can tell when holding in your hand that they are well built. I had the ridgid drills before and they worked great. They are heavier than my Hilti drills and the hilti have a clean look. Unlike the cluttered busy space gun looking ridgid. Not to put down ridgid, mine gave me over 5 years of good service. I did sell all my ridgid tools (other than the rolling toolbox) so I now I have hilti 22v tools and a little 12v makita drill set.

I have never had an issue with any of their products. From screwing sheetrock to breaking concrete they have a tool that will perform at or near the top in almost every power tool category.

I have the following at this point...

sfh18 cordless hammer drill
sfc18 cordless compact drill
siw18 cordless 3/8 impact
wsr18 cordless sawsall
wsr1400 big sawsall
dag450 4.5” grinder
dx460 powder actuated nailer
te70avr SDS Max combi hammer

Hilti is top notch equipment that will last a lifetime. I've got a plumber buddy who has a large sds hammer that must be 25 years old and used when he bought it. That thing will sink a 12 inch long 1 inch diameter bit through a solid foundation wall like drilling wood. Impressive to say the least!
