220 plug for plasma cutter

Hey guys I have a Miller plasma cutter. Its got a 110 plug on it. I dont think its the original plug that came with the cutter. Could I swap it out with a 220 plug? If i run the plasma cutter for over a min it trips the breaker. I figured if i moved it to the outlet that I use for welding it wouldn't trip.

the rating should be on a tag somewhere on the machine whether it uses 120 or 240 .
if it's not meant to run on 240 it will probably fry it real fast .
some are designed to run on both voltages & include an adapter cord with the machine.
as mentioned, a model number would help figure out what you have there

Some of Miller’s plasma cutters are dual voltage capable, but they require the factory adapter built into the plug harness.

If it turns on and works on 110V you just need to wire up a higher amperage circuit for it to work off of. Some 110V only run a 10 or 15amp breaker where that plasma when the cooling fan turns on it might be closer to 18 amp and causing it to trip and the welder circuit you have is probably a 20amp breaker/wire size.

Is this a 230v or 115v model?
