As I said above .. in many parts of the world fused plugs are used .. some of the feeds are 30amp 220. It the only safe way to protect the wire from the plug to the device.

If this is such a great idea why don't we just run a single 30amp line to a kitchen?

The same problem exists with old lamps and the old thin extension cords that were once the norm .... The wire is a fire hazard if damaged and connected to a standard 20 amp CB

Yes the charger draws way less than an amp but is designed to be hooked to this circuit. This was in another thread but falls back to one where Bull has a torpedo heater and part of the "trouble shooting " process involved adding a cord a couple sizes larger than it came UL listed from mfg with.
The machine only uses 4 but comes with a larger cord, it has no secondary protection within the machine, the cord and components need to be able to be plugged in to a common 20A.

I did something stupid the other day during a shakedown and am going to investigate why a breaker or power strip didn't trip. It was on a long circuit with a 25 ft 16 on the end. I suspect V drop might be part of the issue but I am going to see if the circuit I am plugged in to is legit.

Anybody here familiar with motor homes and the cords used to plug them into a home or campground receptacle? Ever seen the pigtail adapters sold to convert them to a different amp rating receptacle?
I found a piece in a box that doesn't even say China on it, no markings at all but is a 30 to 15 adapter. I might have snapped a pic of it.
