2235TiMAX Grease Procedure

I recently purchased a IR 2235TiMAX Impact gun to replace an old craftsman that just seemed to have trouble freeing much of anything....

It just came last week, the instruction manual is extremely vague at best about how to keep this thing greased. It shows 2 locations where to add grease, in addition to adding oil to the inlet like I'm used to doing.

Is this the kit I need to add grease to the gun?

If so, does that tube of grease just thread right on to the little metal grease gun with the kit?

Sorry for what probably seems like an extremely novice question, but I'm relatively new to the world of air tools. Thanks!

You are correct, it is not very clear. There are two options for greasing the mechanism, you can grease it through the fitting in the front end of the impact or you can grease it when the tool is taken apart, that is what the diagram is supposed to show. when greasing through the fitting use this grease.

If your tool is new it should not need grease for quite some time.

Thanks Marlin - I was hoping you would chime in. Just wanted to have the grease on hand for when the time came. The manual said every 48 hours of use roughly I believe, which will be a while for me. Otherwise, I can still oil it through the air inlet during each use, correct?

I cant wait to try this beast out, I just hooked it up to my compressor and free-spooled it a little, and it brought a smile to my face

Is mobil1 fully synthetic grease alright to use as a substitute for Ingersoll's recommended grease? I couldn't find any specifications on their grease but mobil1 lists their's. https://mobiloil.com/en/synthetic-grease/mobil-1-synthetic-grease If i stocked every grease and oil that the manufacturer's recommend for my tools and toys, that's all i would be able to fit on my garage shelves. I'm just trying to consolidate as much as i can.
