2235timax vs mt1769a

So I have an old mt1769a that I presume is an ir rebadge that no longer works. I recently purchased a 2235timax to replace it and couldn't help but notice the simularities.l, aside from the anvil/hammer casing. My question is can I use a 2235 rebuild kit to repair my Matco impact.

I should note, I did a little researching and the only side by side I could find was a 2235ti to the new mt2769 but none of the mt1769a. The main things I've noticed different between the mt2769 and mine are the 2769 says made in Taiwan and mine still says assembled in usa.

It's a 2135timax so you want parts for that instead. 2235 doesn't share parts with it.
