:canada2:Spent a nice Alberta summer fussing over my garage. The house is now a year old and the garage came drywalled and insulated. I was just going to do an epoxy floor and paint the walls, but I went all out. It didn't cost a whole lot as I was able to do all the work in my spare time. The hardest part was mudding and sanding; and it taught me to hire a pro to do my basement this fall!

G-floor from Costco
Torin tool box from Costco
Gorilla shelf unit from Costco
Cabinets from Canadian Tire
Check plate supplied and cut by Russel Metals

Looks fantastic!!!!

Im in the process of doing my garage and was also gonna use diamond plate as a trim along the concrete step wall.

Question..........did you glue the diamond plate up or is it screwed to the wall? I dont see screws in the photos.

Thanks and great looking setup

I just used PL400 glue since the plate was also supported by the step wall.

Thanks, I figured glue was all that was needed.

I will do the same.

One more-last question...........

What guage diamond plate is yours?

I used 1/16" aluminum checkerplate on the walls and 1/8" on the door threshold.

Nice! Why are your neighbors houses so close together?

Even with all the wide open space in Alberta, all the new houses are crammed together. Most houses are built about ten feet from the neighbouring house. I'm always jealous to see how nice and spread out the homes are in the States.

Look at it the other way... you have less yard to mow! In reality, how often do the guys with large yards actually use the land? Mostly it's a big expanse of green that just puts distance between them and their neighbor.

Perfect. Not to sound like an *** but I rarely want to see my neighbors, hear my neighbors or smell my neighbors. I'm happy with all the wide open space I have between me and my neighbors, in fact I'd like more, and yes I do use it.

Very nice! I like the paint scheme and the diamond plate accents. It looks like a sweet place to work in.
