Just want to finally post a couple of photos of my build. I have been lurking here a bit and have started to make some progress on my build. I should mention that this started in July of 2010 but because I was over a couple inches on the height, I had to resubmit variances with my city and didn't get to start the siding till this last summer. First the tear down....

You guessed it 8/12, I have 2 sky lights on the other side of the roof facing east that lets in a good amount of light.

Do you have any pictures of the stairs going up to the loft? I'm building a similar garage (minus the dormers) and will have a fixed set of stairs in the back corner. I'm also 22 x30, so pretty much the same dimensions. Curious to see the stairs from bottom to top...Thanks!

I have these two photos from when I had Joe from LW Concrete (from this very forum!) come out and acid etch my slab and get ready for it's sealer. LW Concrete did an awesome job and I was very happy with the end result, I highly recommend them for you IL and WI guys. I'll try and get some better pics of the stairs for you, OhioSiouxFan, tomorrow.

Here are a couple more pics of the finished siding and a couple of the stairs for OhioSiouxFan, hope they help. As far as function they are great, I can lift large stuff straight up through to the second floor. I apoligize for the messy second floor photo, thats needs to be organized....

Thanks bro. Those stairs are great. I really think a dedicated stair access will make a huge difference in using the loft/attic level. Thanks for posting the pics!

You are right SSCR, the 2nd floor is a mess. But it's your mess in your new garage. SWEET! Love the build, and it looks like you guys will get a bunch of use out of it.
I really like the rope lighting. Is that staying? What about direct lighting? Maybe I just wasn't looking close enough, but didn't see any.

I like the rope lighting too, that was just a quick fix for a party I had but I will keep it. I will be running all 6" cans on the first floor when the electric goes in. Not sure what I will do for the second floor yet but I am looking for suggestions! Thanks for all comments guys, I appreciate it.
