Well I want to buy some bigger size combo wrenches just wondering what brand you guys suggest for the home user? USA made is a plus but not required. Thanks

Cripe Distributing has pretty good prices. I bought a bunch of larger wrenches from them not too long ago. I bought 23, 25, 26, 29, 30 and 32mm for $48 plus shipping. I find it much easier to search there ebay store and then go to the site and search the part numbers you want. Shipping is usually cheaper on their website than it is on ebay. I bought a mix of KD, Allen and Armstrong, all made in the USA. If you don't mind not having a matching set you can mix and match for the best prices like I did. $6-$10 a piece is pretty good for new USA wrenches in the larger sizes.

Home depot sells large singles now. Some are lobster claw, some are really nice. I picked up 21,23 and 25mm for something like $16 and tax. I remember 27mm only being 7-8 bux. Imo perfect for a home user such as myself.

Id suggest looking used. Even on ebay, you can get some cool and collectible larger wrenches for significantly less than new.

I agree with OJ Cripe offers the most bang for my buck too. Right now I have the following items, among other things in my ebay cart 26mm,27mm,29mm,30mm, and 32mm, all fully polished USA made for $39.50. Satin USA is a little less. I have only used the ebay side,I put everything in the cart, then request total from seller. In the remarks section I ask for a USPS flat rate box, so my shipping total is always $12.50 for around 20 to 30 items. According to what they told me the web site charges strictly by weight, and I live a long way from Idaho.

Oh, I wish I'd read that an hour ago. I just bought $100 worth of tools from the cripes website. I got a ton of FP USA-made wrenches: Armstrong or Allen 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, and 32 mm for my father's day present; Armstrong 6, 7, & 10-18 mm for my son, who's arriving this summer (wish I could have located an 8 and 9mm, but I'll keep looking); and a few misc bits. Shipping came to $20 and I used the 10% off coupon code (Summer2013) so it was all about $110. I guess it came out about the same that way, though, since you can't use the code on ebay.

BTW: What does the 'RO' mean in some of their tool descriptions?

Message electron-essentials on Ebay for the Craftsman set 25,26,27,28,30,32mm. Mine was 67$ but shipped with another purchase so expect <90$. Raised panel USA ones that you can swap out at Sears if you ever need to.

I'll have to try that for the shipping, thanks for the tip.
