Can I run 24 Volts AC in the same conduit as 120 volt AC with #14 THHN wire. (think 24 volt holding coil for my air compressor contactor)

I think I can as long as I am using a wire rated for a class 1 circuit, but I start getting confused when I go over the code.

On a previous post someone said they thought 24 volt would always be a Class 2 circuit regardless of wire.

I am not concerned it won't work, I just want to know what is right.

From everything I've ever been taught you CANNOT run low voltage in the same conduit as high voltage.

Your local electrical code may differ (I almost always deffer to the NEC over local unless the city inspector says otherwise).
