2 story 24' x 28' Hot Rod Pole Barn (with a 12 x 20 lean to)

If some of the design elements seem non-professional it's because they are. I've pretty much done all the work myself, and still have long way to go.

here's acouple pics taken during the beginning of build.........

It has 100 amp service, and i have some switched outlets running around the 1st floor ceiling with 4 grills (8 flood lights) installed, they really light up the place good. I have 4 cheap flourescents also, but they don't put out much light on there own (exspecially when it's cold)

haven't been on the board in awhile, thought i'd look around for some ideas and update my thread......
you can laugh at the pink countertop, it was free. but does work good for clean-up. the hole was slightly modified to fit the parts washer.

edit, added acouple more with the heater, it's run off Keroseen (could use fuel-oil) i'm still working on the ducting going to the 2nd floor

I love the idea with the benchtop parts washer! Thats a great idea! But I dont think I would sit my parts washer that close to the heater. Just a thought.

got the left side cleaned and up in a temporary location. A car lift has been on my "want list" for quite a few years.... it looks real nice sitting there, I can't wait to get other side up, bolted down etc..... and use it..

Re: 24' x 28' Pole Barn with 12 x 22 addition

I'm starting a 22 x 12 lean-to addition.... sticking with the pole building techniques....

last picture is the wall area I plan to remove once addition is complete. basically is going to be place to park my 52 Ford so I have more room to work...

plan to build some large carriage doors that total 11 ft. wide so I can back the trailer inside with a car on it. looking for a good deal on craigslist for some wide/short windows.....

not the easiest place to back a trailer into but is doable.

couple of the build pictures...

snow snow snow..... enough already

since I can't do any work, I designed the carriage doors.
plan is to have maximum overhead clearance and match rest of garage style. door on the left will open in upper or lower sections, thought it might be nice for ventilation.

replaced the two temp window I had at stairs platform with some "Craigslist" deals..... I really like the amount of light they let in. it's kinda hard to take a good picture of them.

one 5' x 6'(wide) and other is 5' x5'

picked up a bigger air compressor for 2 bills, only problem is it don't work.

i'm pretty sure it's the "run capacitor" after checking it out.

it's a 230 volt single phase 5 HP motor.

Very cool projects and nice work on the red trailer!

thanks, had to paint trailer green to match my 78 van tow rig........

After replacing a bad capacitor the compressor motor only hummed. I triple checked everything and could find nothing wrong, finally took motor apart and immediately found one of the centrifical switches connection bad. fix, put back together and all work great....

picked up this sander not working (actually just wasn't' wired through switch. now selling my smaller compressor and belt sander on Craigslist.

also a picture of my "new" electronic engine analyzer.
