Finally found an excavator to perform site prep but now I have to wait 8-10 weeks for pioneer.

Where are you located? I too have a pole barn, tell us more.

I'm located in marshalls creek Pa, H Its very tough to find reliable people to do this type of work in this area, I signed the contract on 6/23/16 but they just got the pad done Friday. I finally found a good crew.

Pioneer moved up build one month took 4 hours to drill these holes hit rock every one.

Did Pioneer tell you to spread the gravel like that?

I have sandy soil, they drilled the holes in about 20 minutes!

Those little pebbles are cute. Here's some rocks we ran into - we ended up pinning into the two boulders in the way of the footer.

If it makes you feel better I couldn't get anyone to take on site prep and stormwater management for a pole barn in southeast PA. Talked to contractors for about 6 months before I realized they weren't interested. Honestly, Pioneer should have a partner who's willing to do these jobs, even at a premium, because they lost my business.

I'll have to get some pics, but there's a boulder that's at least 5'x2.5' and 2' tall sticking out right next to our footers. No idea how deep it goes, but it didn't budge when we hit it with a bobcat. Across the yard we have various large boulders, but the big one is about 4x4x4'.

I too have a pioneer pole barn it turned 10 years old in august, good co. too work with.

Yes they put it on before the roof metal went down also have ridge vent and soffit vents
