Here is a link to my original thread "Off-site garage". I was hoping for suggestions or ideas from you fine people about a garage not on the property with my house. That was to avoid the covenants and restrictions in the neighborhood. I talked to my neighbors and the county officials and work has begun in my own back yard.
The garage will be 24' x 36' with 10' walls. Brick to match my house up to the gables which will be white vinyl. There will be a 16'x8' overhead door, a 7'x7' rollup, a single 36" service door. It will have six windows. 2 down the side with the doors and 4 down the opposite side. They are 2'x4' horizontal sliding.
Yesterday I got two loads of dirt to level my yard. There's about a 3' difference from the highest to lowest points. I was told there will be 9 loads total.
This is the first truck that got turned away. The gate in my fence isn't wide enough for the truck to fit. We removed one section of the gate, a 6"x6" post, and an 8' section of fence to make room.
While waiting for the next truck to show up they got the skid steer out. I think he was just scraping off the grass. In this picture the right track came off and they are putting it back on. I was surprised how quickly they got it going again.
Here is the 2nd load getting dumped.
I know these pictures aren't fantastic. I only had the camera integrated into my cellular phone available since the battery on my regular camera was dead.
I'm sorry if the thread title is deceptive. I do not own a snow cone maker. It is a bit of a joke between myself and my friends. I am hoping to have my truck repainted in the style of an old shop truck. I was just wasting time one night when I made a logo.
Thanks for reading (or just looking at the pictures). Let me know what you think.
