Ok I need heat that can be somewhat regulated. I have been using a kerosene heater so far but would like to just use it to get the area warm and the use something that will keep it warm. The kerosene just gets to overwhelming and shutting it off and on is a pain.

My garage is 12X20 8 ft ceiling. insulated and drywalled. I not have a gargae door instead I built a wall. I also do not have electric other than 110v wirring.

anyone have any ideas for me.

TIA

I'd look at a PTAC unit with a built in thermostat. I'd give the folks at Valley of the Sun a call. We talked to them 4 or 5 times before buying the units we put in our kennel. They were very good at helping us decide which units would work and how and where to install them (height from floor, which walls, etc).
I have 3 units in our kennel building (40 x 60ft). We have one installed in an area just to keep the pipes from freezing and have that thermostat set to 55 degrees. The other 2 units are in the large training area and are used as needed. They have the added bonus of A/C and that was great in the heat of summer!
I'm going to put a 12000 btu heat pump unit in my garage (480 square feet), I think you could get away with a 7000 or 9000 btu unit.
