Hi folks, I think it was on this site that I met a guy who is the "go to" for volvo parts, but I'm not sure if it was this site or Papaws site. Anyhow, my back left break light cover has faded to white instead of the red it is supposed to be. My dad was of the opinion that the aftermarket covers don't last very long because of the heat of the light??
I guess I could buy an aftermarket and put a led light in it? Anyhow, I have a 1991 volvo station wagon 240. Let me know what anyone thinks
cheers,
bird.

Haven't actually tried this, but if the white is oxidation, buffing compound or one of those headlight restoration kits they sell for plastic headlights might bring it back.

I would just use the len polisher kit. HF sell a kit for less than $10 (made in USA) too. Unless you can find an LED bulb specifically for your 1991 Volvo, I don't think you can just throw in any LED bulb that fit. I think LED bulb is voltage dependence. If you know electrical well, you can add resistor to make it work.
