I have one of those socket testers for 120V outlets, the ones with the 3 LED lights that tells you the wires are hooked up right. This is the particular one I have but there are many variations of the same design.

I'm wondering does anyone make a 240V analogue?

Thanks
Ruahrc

P.S. I was able to verify the voltage of my 240V socket using a multimeter (240V hot to hot and 120V each hot to ground) but was just wondering if they made a plug-in outlet tester like they have for 120V.

I doubt it , since there's several different plug configurations, 20 amp, 30 amp, 50 amp. Each would require a unique piece. Most would say that if you need a tool like that you shouldn't be messing with power...

What exactly are you trying to verify? Since 2_0v in residential settings consists of two hots and a ground with no polarity (unless you are talking specific 4 wire stove and dryer outlets with a neutral tap for 1_0v) I don't see what are you are trying to trace back.

I don't know of any plug in testers for 2_0v, but I have seen leaded outlet testers for 220+v, but those are typically used in industrial settings where 2_0v and the like are derived from incoming 3ph power.
