Walls and roof went up for the most part.



The old garage door wall was 2x4 and I wanted to change it to 2x6 and frame it up for a taller door. I framed to receive the existing door s for now to get through the winter.






Weather is not co-operating here in Maine. Snow, thaw, more snow, then rain and then freezing!!

Zip-R was not "approved" for roof panels? But that **** is red.

Not that it couldn't be used as roof panels.... Or shouldn't... I love the stuff.

Its Zip 5/8" roof sheathing on the roof, ZIP-R on the walls.

A little update:

On the exterior - Ice & Water, drip edge and Shingles installed. Both garage doors back in and operational. New garage side entry installed in place of an existing window. Insulate the little knee wall - very awkward job as it had to be done from the outside. Edit: Even with Zip I'm going to wrap the house with Hydrogap for under the LP siding and possible cedar shingles on the shed dormer.



While we wait for the windows we start framing up the interior walls. Bathroom and small change to the way the two roof lines meet in the interior.

Smart temp re-use of the old garage doors while construction is going on.

I am part way thru a master bath addition at our home and the weather here has been too cold for me to want to work out there. Its weather tight, so no harm short of having to use an alternate bathroom for now.

Always loved the old Z's. Friend of mine's dad had a 240z he bought new.

I got some catch up to do here. Doing a lot myself with friends help so the timeline is constantly getting stretched.

The windows showed up while we were away on February holiday. Late Feb/March we ended up getting weather tight. I ended up removing all the old Tyvek wrap and used the BO Hydra-gap wrap to cover old and new sheathing for additional moisture mitigation.

I also installed the two new garage doors. 9'x8', R18 insulation, windows in top panel, high lift track and Jack shaft lifting motors.

Some interior pics from March/April Added the venting for the cathedral ceiling and get a little insulation up, full insulation will come after rough-in inspection.

Once we got out of Winter - I started to pick away at the siding. We have the original vinyl on the house so I wanted to get the match close but refuse to install vinyl. So as we are eventually going to reside the whole house we went with a pre-finished LP siding lap. Costly but such an easy product to work with. The shed dormers with get kiln dried Grade A cedar shakes for a little pop.
