I decided one day this winter that it was time to get the extension cord out of the dang yard, and trench conduit out to the garage. I dug ~3ft by hand (high-mineral content clay) threw down the shovel, and headed to my local rental store. 45 minutes later, I'm in the back yard driving this fun little machine around.

...now don't get me wrong, she's a helluva helper, but usually motorized equipment lands on my plate. This was different, she comes out of the door bundled up and says "that looks like fun, can I try it?".

...she took the reins and I didn't get it offered back it until she had trenched the whole way to the garage.

Power is a simple branch (220v) off the main panel running 12ga solid THWN to a disconnect, then in to the garage. As it is only storage, I have kept the design simple with a single outlet at the front corner, one outlet at the garage door opener, and one outlet upstairs. (Any more would have required an entire panel and all the permitting that involves, which was my aim to avoid.)

I also dug a couple of trenches where I planned to put some treated timbers as drive edging. I ended up finding some great looking 6x8x6' treated posts for a great deal, and had 20 tons of recycled asphalt delivered (queue trip #2 to rental location) as well. The result came out nice enough for me, and they say the trick is to wait until mid-august, and then compact it and even seal-coat at that point... Better than grass!

This is the only picture I have of the driveway (I know, I know, "GARAGE Journal", not carport journal...) ...I really should have taken some shots while I was first doing it...

Work is finishing up on the drive-through carport, I got out there and got some blinds hung upstairs (hoping to keep the sunlight-added temp down up there). Gutter contractors are quoting the house and garage for an install over the next few weeks, then I'll be able to get some landscaping happening on the low-side of the garage (cover up that concrete...)

I was also looking at the floor and decided it is about time to get some epoxy coat going on in there. I have quite a bit of drywall mud on the floor, and imagine a diamond grind is going to be my best bet for getting a good surface. I will probably take some pictures and ask the guru's on the flooring section what their take is...

Nice looking garage. What did the builder charge? I'm looking for something very similar

Looking good, post some carport pictures.
I wish I had more lot width to do a drivethrough carport! My lot is only ~50x100

The picture is kind of deceiving, but how high is the beam going across the carport? It looks short in the picture, but I'm guessing maybe 8' high?

Power was run, car-port was completed, and then a bunch of **** went in there, effectively stopping any further construction (keeping cardboard under the cars to avoid getting oil spots, but still would like to do a floor coating at some point...

...here is another angle from when the carport was under construction, showing the nearly 8ft height to the bottom of the beams. No lifted trucks or ladder-racks, but the vehicles shown fit fine...

Looks great!!!! Any in between pics from when it was started until now? I mean other than the last pic of the framing?

Out of curiosity, how did you flash your roof? Did you make one cut down through, or did you notch the mortar joints?

It looks like you covered the brick wall inside. Is it covered?
