I started a dedicated motorcycle shop on my property this fall. Actually just moved into this new house in Feb/12. It's on 2 acres and I bought it just so I could build the shop.

Ran into a bit of trouble because we could only dig a few inches before hitting solid rock. I had to have a breaker come in and do some excavating. That was an unexpected cost. Unfortunately I was at work that day so no pics. We had to lay gravel on top of the rock to make a level surface. It's deepest at the front, about 2 feet and less than a foot at the back.

Dug a trench to run power from the house. I am going to install a sub panel in the shop, probably 60 amp.

And that brings us to today, framers started, albeit 2 weeks late. Two walls up and one sheeted. At least it will be done soon.
