This is my first post and want to thank everyone for all the information they have shared on this forum.
Today started the build of my 24X32 pole garage. It is about 5 months later than what I hoped but an early winter freeze set me back. I will post pictures of the progress and hope to get some ideas along the way.

The first two pictures were when I left the house this morning. This picture was from four hours after they started today when I ran home during lunch.

Offtopic: is it camera perspective, or was that a HUGE friggin' tree in the last shot?

It was an oak tree with 42" diameter at the base. We dropped it over the weekend so they could start building.

Wow that's fast! I'm hoping to build at least a 24x36 (I'd like bigger) I will be watching the progress on this one!

Not bad for a day's work!! I built my 24 x 48 pretty much by myself and it took me........I don't know it's not done yet. Looks like a nice building in a nice setting.

That is a real tragedy to sacrifice an oak of that size. It must have been a couple hundred years old. Did you count the rings? I hope you were able to save some of the wood.

is that 10/6 wire laying on the ground? and are they using that 2x for key joint or just something to screed off?. definitly get that wire up with hats or stone.it does you no good laying under the slab.

Amazing, it went up so fast! Are you going to insulate it? The workmanship looks very nice too, I hope when I build mine, that it looks as good as yours.

Excellent - like the size and the colors, very nice building. Too bad they drug their feet getting it up LOL. Subscribed.

Day three they poured the floor and finished up a few things on the exterior.

I have been in many pole buildings and I think this is the best build I have seen. I am not just saying that because it is mine but these guys did one heck of a job.
I hope to start this week on the inside of the garage. My pan is to stud it out insulate and drywall. I figure I have three to four weeks to do all the interior work before I can paint the floor. Trying not to use the garage as a garage until the floor is painted.

These guys are obviously slackers. Next time you should hire more resourceful workers :)

Just kidding of course. That building looks great! Nice job.

Any idea what your total cost for the building is? Also, how tall is your ceiling? I want just about the same building setup, but I want to put a lift in it so I'll need at least 10' of over head clearance.

This thread is a perfect example of what a pole barn is, how it is built, and why they offer so much bang for the buck.

The ceilings are 10' from the floor. The total cost for the building was under 12000.00. That included the building, four double hung windows, 9 light man door, two 9x8 insulated garage doors with windows, 1' overhang all around and concrete floor.

That same build would run $22,000 in my area. I wonder if those fellas would like an airplane ride...
