The framework is already laid out along with the rebar and wire mesh. But we had a few weeks of heavy rain that delayed the pour. Now we have grass and weeds growing where the slab was gonna be. Do I need to remove all the grass and weeds? Also, it's gonna be a pole barn. The concrete will be poured around the poles...do I need to put something around the poles? Like for flexing and expansion? Thanks.

I'd say it grew about a foot tall in each corner and there's a few patches of grass growing in the trenches. I was thinking maybe I should burn the grass and weeds out.?

I would the grass out before the pour.

Are you pouring this or a contractor ? I would have something for expansion around the pole.

Remove the weeds.
I put foam around my poles for expansion.
Cut control joints after concrete is placed.
I would do a quick check in the grade also.

A contractor is doing the pour. I already paid him to do the framework, which he did. But we took to long to actually pour and now we have weeds in there.
