Here's my 24x36x12 pole barn I just had done. I'm getting crete poured today. I've already added a sub panel, outlets and lnterior led lighting.

Now I need some ideas for exterior lighting. I'm looking for ideas that will go with my building. I'd like to add a motion light next to or over man door, also a switched light or 2 over 10x10 garage door.

I will be adding gutters but I'm in WNY and we get about of snow so I don't want anything that sticks out too far. I have 12" overhangs. I also may be adding shutters on windows.

Let me know if anyone has anything similar. Thanks

I've had good luck in the past with fixtures from RAB. Their SLIM12 wall pack works pretty well over doors. You can operate then with a separate motion sensor (see their controls section), or they're available with an integral photocell. https://www.rablighting.com/outdoor There's a 'where to buy' feature on the website, plug in your zip code to find local distributors.

My guess on the lack of responses is that there are thousands and thousands of fixtures out there in all different styles that will do what you want. We cant guess what you'd like. It might help if you could narrow it down some.

That's why I'm asking what other people used. To get ideas. I don't want just regular cheap looking lights. I'd like it to look residential rather than commercial since it's right in my front yard.

I was looking at those in Black, I've narrow it down to those in black or the square ones to go on both sides of the garage door and one on the side of the man door. Then one of these in the picture for above garage door

I picked up 2 of these for both sides of my main 12x14 rolll up. Kind of nautical looking. And on clearance. They will go about 8ft up. 20230816_120706.jpg20230622_184601.jpg

I found some lights on Amazon that I installed on the shop. I put one on each side of the 10x10 and 12x12 garage doors, and one over the man door.

I then put in a large flood light over the main 12x12 door for those times when I need to load/unload at night.

It really helps to light up the area at night

I can't say that I would recommend those lights Amazon ordered lights I put on the shop... they work okay, but their paint hasn't held up. It you like that rusty patina look, then you're good.
