been building a 24x48 garage for a year and a half (yep 18 months) by myself with help from the wife. I almost there, finishing up the last coat of mud on the drywall this weekend and now looking for electric heat (thats another post) its 10ft walls and split down the middle with a wall to allow me a clean side and a dirty side. one half has attic space and the other is vaulted to allow room for a lift.

took me longer then expected but doing it myself and paying for it as I go took longer then I ever expected (first project of this scale).

Here is a picture of the clean side finished up

Nice looking shop. I am a big fan of a clean side and a dirty side. I do not know why more people don't do this with their large shops.

Very nice. I'm shooting for that size on the next go-around. A big project but well worth the wait.

I know the feeling well, Boones. I built my first shop this summer. It was my first real "construction" project and I was nervous about being able to pull it off. Amazing what we can do when we put our minds to it!

hit a mile stone today, finished the last coat of paint on the "dirty" side garage. no more drywall, mud or paint. (until I do the ceiling next spring). feels good to be done with that.. now I can get organized and back to working on my 27 ford.

This is exactly the shop that I want to build! Is there a possibility that you have a blueprint for this shop you could share?

Great looking garage! If you haven’t already seen there is a PNW thread in the Free Parking section. You should check it out.
