Not sure if this has been posted, but I went to check out and saw the $25 off $50 promo for using American Express Membership rewards. Simple to use can only be used once per card, so if you have multiple MR earning cards you can use them all once.

Add amex card(s) and link your MR account to amazon. You can unlink card right after purchase if you want.

1: Has to be sold and shipped from Amazon
2: $50 or more total I assume pretax
3: Use any amount of MR points you want. I used 10 when checking out, but then googled it and see you can use only 1mr point to maximize offer.
4: Mine added the promo automatically, but if not use promo code amex16ever
5: enjoy $25 off

my receipt below

I'm guessing this doesn't work with Amex "cashback" cards, like Blue Cash? I haven't heard of "membership rewards", but I'm guessing it is a different reward system than the straight-cashback amex cards?

You would be correct, cashback cards and membership rewards cards are different programs. The amex everyday card is the MR version of the blue cash.

Heads up that it may not work for all. I tried $1 and $10 worth of points on my Amex on a $54 order. Discount did not come up automatically and it says the promotion code cannot be applied to the purchase (which is sold by Amazon Llc).

It took me a few tries, I always have gift cards as default payment so i had to uncheck that box, make sure to uncheck you default payment method. Then check the Amex credit card that has your MR points linked, then select use MR points I entered 14 points(entered as .10) and the yellow use this payment method box didn't light up to click, so i checked the pay entire order with points bubble then the checkout box lit up, I then readjusted the point down to .10 and it let me check out.

Hope you get it to work.

Also make sure you have gone to your AMEX account online and activated the Amazon 3x points benefit (good till 12/31/16)!

Time to go shopping! :) Thx!

I've seen this happen before where it doesn't recognize you've changed the payment method even though you see the new one on the screen and therefore won't let you apply the promo until you click around a little more. I've tried 5 mins of clicking around and it's still not taking it. Giving up. :(
