Here are a few shots with the fluorescent lights on, it doesn't look like I have any pictures with only them on and no other lighting. It kind of ***** trying to take a picture with them on b/c they are so bright that most cameras automatically adjust and darken the photo. All I can say is that when I turn them on, people usually say "wow" or something to that effect, they are so bright its ridiculous, but b/c the light is coming in from 45 degree angles it doesn't bother your eyes at all. I would do this style of lighting again for sure in any future garages I might own.

So my garage was always intended to be a workshop for sleds but I haven't undertaken any big projects since building it.

Couple weeks ago my buddy called me and asked if I would go with him to pick up a cheap snowmobile he had found online, a 2008 Yamaha Phazer RTX.

The machine was/is a complete basket case but the price was right so I advised him to buy it anyways, plus it would give us a really good reason to hang out in the garage and work on something this summer.

We got a bit too excited and tore it down before getting any before pictures with the plastics still on.

This sled has had a rough life. Every single steering linkage needs to be replaced, both steering knuckles, and an upper A-Arm.

Our first order of parts had over 30 part numbers in it. We aren't cutting any corners and building this thing up with upgraded parts wherever we can. The end result will be a reliable and fun sled for his girlfriend to ride.
