I started off by researching other threads in this site and gained a ton of ideas to get me started! I plan on framing up the walls and ceiling 24" oc, sheet rock the ceiling w/ blow-in insulation and use osb for sheathing. I got some material for free to get me started (fiberbrace, 21 sheets of drywall, small amount of 16" & 24" batts.)
*How could I put the fiberbrace to use.
*How do I vent the heat out from the roof and avoid condensation. I'm still learning, so bear with me if I need to google what the building/material term means! :lol_hitti

I ordered some tools and they are starting to arrive. Now, waiting for my framing nailer to come in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Condensation will only be an issue when the temp outside is cooler than the temp inside, and there's enough humidity. I don't know about RH (relative humidity) in Memphis, but we rarely have the proper combination of cold outside/warm inside to trigger condensation.

For the roof, if you pack the insulation in dense enough and there are no paths to allow drafts (which will bring in cold/dense air) between the insulation and the roof, you shouldn't have an issue with condensation.

I'm not familiar with "fiberbrace" - what is it?

21 sheets of drywall is almost enough to do your ceiling in a 25x50 space... not to bad for a freebie.

Keep posting and good luck...

Okay, I think I understand now. I will try to do the same setup you did w/ the blow-in insulation albeit I don't think it will turn out as nice as yours. :willy_nil

I have it stacked under the lumber in the first pic. I believe another name for fiberbrace is... quietbrace & blackboard???:dunno:
