Quick question for you guys. i'm deciding on roofing and siding at the moment and I was pretty set on 26ga figuring a little heavier material would be better until I contacted a local supplier.
1. the colors available depends on the gauge of the material i go with so in order to get the color i want i might have to go with 29ga.
2. she recommended that i go with 29ga to save some $$ if the panels will be going on covered walls. this didn't cross my mind before but obviously i will have sheathing on the roof and all walls. 15/32 OSB is whats called out.
I do understand that if your putting this on a bare frame you probably want to go thicker but what do you guys think in my situation?
the plans also call out for exposed fasteners but i'm leaning towards getting siding/roofing with concealed fasteners.
thank you
