We intend to move when I retire in two years. Last fall we purchased a smaller house in Laramie, WY. I will have to tear down the current garage and rebuild one in its place.

Constratints:

Limited to 15' height by code
Limited to 26X32 due to property lines and placement

Desires:

Ability to install a lift (I am 6'7")
Side load with three stalls (along 32' length)
Scissor trusses for interior height
Monolithic slab

I currently have a garage I built that is 160 sq ft smaller. I will need to move all my stuff into the new garage.

I want to work on my 68 Torino, and a 63 Fairlane. Is it feasible to still park a daily driver in one end? I want to put all my tools along the shop side back wall, and possibly partition off the daily driver side.

I have allot of stuff, Tool boxes (can consolidate), MIG, floor Drill press, 20 ton press, bead roller, 60 gal upright compressor, etc...

I am sure I will have more questions, Thanks for the replies.
Joe

Can you "hedge" a little bit and build it on a setup where one bay's floor, by design is a couple of feet lower, but you maintain the 15' peak height at the center from grade... I'm not sure if the locality agrees with the idea but with poured walls you could do typical basement damp-proofing for the lift bay so it is sunken and the finished grade is level all around with the exception of the garage door in front of that bay. Just an idea :)

Thanks for the reply Matt...

Unfortunately I am getting water in the current garage with rain or snow melt so I have to go above ground level with the slab.
