Throwing this up see what thoughts / suggestion are. Planning on building 26x42 with 10' walls. Most of the idea I got off Bsjo4 ( great build by the way)

Kicking around thought of using Superior Walls for the garage.( ball park cost $13.5K Any thoughts? Live in Western Pa. and Plan on having insulated and heated. So if I stick build or block I would require footer below frost. I am planning be my own GC on this to keep cost down as much as possible. Also theres about 44 " grade heading to the back of the garage.

I'm a big fan of superior walls (used on my earth-sheltered house build a couple years ago) but am hesitant to recommend them outright for your application without more info. Make sure to consult with them about your plan for the slab, roof/trusses, etc.

What about... more excavating and doing a pole barn? Then you don't need all the trouble of a full foundation wall to frost line.

I thought about a pole building garage. Not sure it would fit in my neighborhood and possible grading issues. Also I was planning Bricking at least the Front to match the house and either Hardie siding or brick for the sides. Just in planning stages now, Hope to get drawings submitted by the end of February to township.

How is this coming? I am in the process of planning a similar garage with Superior Walls and would be curious to hear how it went. I have been happy with them so far but I am also trying to be my on GC and that has it's own tricks. That and not everyone seems to understand what superior walls are where I am as well which doesn't help.
