2767 vs 2763

Has anyone had extensive experience with both?
Let me start by saying that I'm heavily invested in the m18 platform. For nearly 5 years I had the same 2763 first gen Fuel High-torque impact. Until about 4 months ago when a thief relieved me of it. It was used very heavily and not once ever let me down. So I replaced it with a current model 2767 and let me say I have not been impressed with it's performance. I know it says it's rated at a higher torque than the venerable 2763 but it definitely seems much weaker. It also seems to be very sensitive batteries that aren't full (3 bars or less causes a serious power and rpm difference), and before you go blaming the batteries, I've tried with new and old 5.0, 6.0 high outputs and 9.0 hd's.
Has anyone else had this experience?
Am I biased or have I got a Lemon?
I'm seriously considering buying a NOS 2763 on ebay right now.

Do you have a service center/dealer nearby? Might want to see if there’s a short or something going on internally on a new unit like that.

I have several actually, I'll have to check that out thank you,
I'd guessed there would be no real obvious problem but I guess I do have a back up so I could send it in.

Well under warranty I'd think it would be! Id hope. I was just curious if this was just the 2767 being itself or is this am actual problem. I'll try to take it in when I'm not working like 70 hours a
week lol. Anyone else grow am attachment to their power tools?
The 2763 had been an excellent piece
