Hi guys, Im new here and I will be sharing my garage/ home build with you all. Im from West Virginia and this is my 2nd garage build and it will be my third home since me and my wife got married 14 yrs ago. We have already started construction at this point the foundation and block work is complete for both the house and garage. The floor has also been poured for the basement and we are having some issues with the garage. As stated above we are building in W.V. and one of the biggest challenges of building in this state is the terrain(darn mountains). the rear of the garage is down the hill which is leaving me with around 8 ft of fill space and it tapers towards the front to around 2ft. My question for you all is have you ever heard of reclaimed blacktop being used as fill?? or something called junk rock (crushed cinder blocks)for fill? with the reclaimed blacktop it will cost me around 12.00 per ton and with the junk rock its around 17.00 per ton and with rock im looking at 25.00 per ton..Im looking for an alternative to using the rock since its so high, but im worried about compaction with the other 2 choices....It seems every gas/oil company in the united states has come to WV to get rich and in doing so they have driven up the cost of materials to an all time high.....
Thanks Rick..

I will have you guys some pics tomorrow thanks for the time fellas...its great to be here!:bounce:
