299 piece socket set...now the fun begins!

Sorted through m 299pc socket set....only one error in them, I ended up with 2 6pt sockets in one instance when it should be 6 and 12...not too shabby.
now the fun of actually organizing them for my box.

That is remarkable.

When I received mine, they left out a full series of 3/8" and shipped two dupes and shorted three 1/2" deeps.

One call the the CS number and the corrections arrived in a couple of days, no problems with rust or bad chrome that I noticed.

Finally put these on rails today, took a total of 20 rails. I got them from Snapon, cost about $75 to my door and worked out pretty well I'd say. Gonna clean off the top of my box tomorrow and put them up top. I'm excited to finally be able to put these to use.

So it looks like a ton of sockets when you get them.

Doesnt look like so much when you put them on rails on the garage floor.

When you put them in the toolbox, you realize this is a crazy number of sockets...I love it!

I think between these and my impact sets, I'm good for quite some time.

I'm a bit jealous! I've been eye'ing that set for some time now but still haven't needed them bad enough to bite the bullet for the $300+ price tag. Good deal or not, that's still hefty change to spend on a lot of sockets...some of which that never see a nut or bolt, from a DIY Guy like myself! Still, they do like mighty nice lined up in your pics.

You're crazy people hound on Sears all the time, including the sockets. I got the same set and had to get about 20 replaced due to various reasons from flaking chrome to bad detents. I will say though that the sockets that are good, they are good, and it's too bad Sears can't get them made all like they are supposed to be.

I picked this set up in january for 249.99. I had one socket the was a duplicate and had to exchange it in store. All of the sockets I got were not the laser etched but the engraved style. I think this is one of the best deals out there if you can catch it below $300, for the sockets alone.
