2nd floor on 24 x 24 garage

I'm building a 24 x 24 garage at our cottage. The foundation will consist of 18x18 reinforced concrete building pads with triple-lam 2x8 pressure treated beams on top of them. I'm planning on having the beams at 6", 8', 16' and 23.5'. This will allow me have the 2x8 pressure treated floor joists (16" on centre) fall directly on the beams.

The plywood floor will be 3/4" thick and the walls of the first floor will be 2x6 spaced 16" on centre.

My question is, has anyone used the manufactured OSB and 2x2 i-beam floor joists to span 24'? I would like to leave the first floor open but would consider putting a supporting beam running at ceiling height to help take the load. I will probably go with the 14" manufactured joists rather than the 11 7/8" joists spaced 16" on centre.

The pony-wall or knee wall (not sure of the correct term), will be 6' in height made from 2x6's. My roof will consist of a ridge beam (LDL) that is 18" thick and double-lammed built to fit into a slot in the gable ends. The rafters will be 16' 2x8s with the bird's mouth meeting the 2x6 pony wall 24" on centre.

If I put in a supporting wall down the middle, realistically I would put in a fifth beam to support it.

Is there anything concerning in what I have mentioned so far? I'm still unsure on how to frame stairs up to the second floor, however I still have some time before I begin putting together the first floor.

I'm also unsure whether or not rafter ties would help to make things more solid. My rafters will be on top of the ridge beam and not meeting at it like a ridge board would.

If someone has recommendations I would appreciate it.

If I'm not mistaken, 14' is the longest unsupported span you can use. My 30x30 with a full second story has an 8"x24'x30' Lam-Beam center support per structural engineer to be able to support a floor load. The garagedownstairs is fully open with no walls or support columns. Check my sig for my build. Many many pictures, you will need to search to find the beam on post # 45-46
