I've been a long time lurker but this is my first post. I have learned a lot of great stuff from many of your posts as I modify my garage.
When I bought the house 3 years ago the semi-detached double garage had no access to an 15X18 shop and dark room on the back. As I was planning about how to knock a garage door size hole in the back wall big enough to put my four post lift through I ran into an old termite infestation that had weakened the rear of the structure.
In the process of fixing this I found that the flat roof also had an old leak that was never repaired properly.
All of this took time to repair and what you see here is after all the drywall was removed in order to get rid of old knob and tube and install better lighting, wall receptacles and air lines. I've got a lot more to do but with all the great ideas on this site it should be a very useful shop when I'm done.
I got really lucky and scored a set of very heavy duty metal cabinets with tons of drawers from the local city college that were removed from the chemistry department during a remodel.
I'm in the process of putting butcher-block counters on the perimeter base cabinets and a stainless steel counter on the center island worktop.
As you can see I have a four post lift in the back which I will soon be adding a bend-pak sliding jack, if it fits that is. This four post is a little narrower than some of the professional ones so I unsure if it will fit between the runners.
I have a second snap-on scissor lift under the green car which you can't see at the moment.
