I've been a long time lurker but this is my first post. I have learned a lot of great stuff from many of your posts as I modify my garage.
When I bought the house 3 years ago the semi-detached double garage had no access to an 15X18 shop and dark room on the back. As I was planning about how to knock a garage door size hole in the back wall big enough to put my four post lift through I ran into an old termite infestation that had weakened the rear of the structure.
In the process of fixing this I found that the flat roof also had an old leak that was never repaired properly.
All of this took time to repair and what you see here is after all the drywall was removed in order to get rid of old knob and tube and install better lighting, wall receptacles and air lines. I've got a lot more to do but with all the great ideas on this site it should be a very useful shop when I'm done.
I got really lucky and scored a set of very heavy duty metal cabinets with tons of drawers from the local city college that were removed from the chemistry department during a remodel.
I'm in the process of putting butcher-block counters on the perimeter base cabinets and a stainless steel counter on the center island worktop.
As you can see I have a four post lift in the back which I will soon be adding a bend-pak sliding jack, if it fits that is. This four post is a little narrower than some of the professional ones so I unsure if it will fit between the runners.
I have a second snap-on scissor lift under the green car which you can't see at the moment.

Really nice, and those cabinets were indeed a great score! And a very nice collection of cars. (And BTW, to post full-size pics upload them to an album (User CP), then paste the BB code from the album in the text of your post.)

I'm just down the road from you in Napa County. Great job on knocking out that wall...not sure what they were thinking, making no access from the garage.

Great looking cars. Those cabinets are fabulous...good find.

I have a passion/sickness for all kinds of classic cars and their particular tools.
I have always had a soft spot for british cars just not their electrical systems.

More pics of the garage and cars will come as work progresses.

Right now I am trying to figure the best way to build a wall mounted pegboard tool locker with a rolling tambour door like the one Facom makes but charges way too much money for in the states. Then I want to build a header into the wall and sink the cabinet into the wall at counter level.

The cars are
1958 MGA Coupe
1960 MGA roadster
1974 MGB Chrome bumper
1974 Triumph TR6
