I tried a drill powered pump from Northern Tool. It had a far bigger body, but it lasted all of five minutes before it failed.

IIRC, the original was made by Flo-Tec. I've had a couple of their pumps and they worked great.

Ha just remembered some one gave me one of those a couple of season ago threw it a tool bag and forgot all about.

Just dug it out and chucked it up seems to spin ok

Now I will have to try it! :D

I thought it was kind of funny at the time since I was pumping water with a gasoline powered unit which I now use the new Milwaukee transfer pump.

Seems like it be handy with cordless drill for some quick water transfers maybe fill a spray tank or drain a barrel or something. The only issue I would see is most cordless don't seem to have a lock on button like their corded brethren do so your gonna have to stand there and hold the trigger if you go that route. :wtf:

I wonder of could pump diesel with it :p

Lol, my first thought was how it would do with fuel.

Good point on the trigger lock.

I use them to transfer motor oil from a drain pan to bucket while servicing generators. If a large enough pan is under the motor it cant be removed without making a mess. I attach a battery drill to the pump and send the drained oil into buckets. The first one lasted over 3 years and I misplaced it. Good little pump for under 10 bucks.
