Any favourites or avoid at all costs? Looking at Milwaukee, Dewalt or Makita so far but open. 95% farm equipment use, looking for portability over air.

I purchased a used Makita corded model over 5 years ago on eBay for about $250 shipped. I have used it on a handful of DIY jobs on a 2003 Subaru Forester including removing an axle nut (140 ft-lbs) as part of installing a new front passenger wheel hub assembly. It is great!

Skip the 3/4 and get an IR W7150 1/2 It's a monster gun unbelievably powerful
I like it so much I haven't touched my air gun for months

I am big on used, but motors in cordless have improved a lot in the last 3 years at the top end of the torque range.

I'm pretty sure Milwaukee does offer a 3/4" cordless, but it is the same as a 1/2", but with the larger drive.

I have a DeWalt 3/4 corded one and I'm not too impressed with it. I also have a 1/2 Snap on cordless and that blows away the Dewalt!

Pretty much. Even the older Milwaukee (non-Fuel) 3/4" cordless was a decent gun. The new Fuel model should be even better. If I needed a 3/4" cordless gun, the Milwaukee Fuel would be my choice.

The newly released Milwaukee M18 Fuel High-Torque Impact Wrench sets have the highest torque and runtimes for cordless impacts, and more powerful than most corded or air impacts.

I have the 3/4" Fuel impact wrench in-route at this time.

I also ordered the Milwaukee Fuel. Couldn't resist all the bells and whistles on it! No doubt it's powerful, but is it more power than the Ingersoll Rand W7150? Certainly the Milwaukee has an advantage in runtime, but the W7150 lasts quite a long time even though the battery is 'only' 3AH. I say forget buying a 3/4" gun and get a 1/2" with an adapter. It should take care of most jobs. These cordless guns put most 3/4" corded guns to shame.

The Milwaukee Fuel line has a 3/4" and it's not just a 1/2" with a 3/4" anvil; it has higher torque in both directions. As others have noted, it is heavy compared to most cordless tools, but compared to other 3/4" impacts, it's fine.

For me I have other Milwaukee tools that use the same XC 4.0 batteries. I just got an adapter for using 1/2" impact sockets. IR has never been on my radar for cordless tools, but that W7150 does look like a nice tool. Milwaukee also has a new Fuel 1/2" Impact with similar specs to the IR.
