3/4 Extension

Hey all, I got a question. What is the difference between the two of these? Is one pin style and one a "standard" extension?

Pin lock requires using a tool to remove the socket. Essentially a locking retainer system for absolute retention. They will work with regular sockets but do not have the absolute retention capability then.

One is the bush button release pin, the other looks like the one that uses the long pin that goes through the socket and extension. Long pin held in place by O-ring.

Thanks, good to know. I was assuming it was a normal ball detent extension.

With the locking button extension, if you use Snap On sockets, it has the button already on the socket for easy removal. If not, a small nail, screw, phillips screwdriver, ice pick, etc will work in pushing the detent in for removal.

The GL32 has a lock pin on the drive end and then an additional lock button on the female drive end. Not rated for impact or no mention of it being impact rated. The IM132A looks beautiful.
