3/8" breaker bar?

Skip the 10" or 11" ones and go 15" or longer.

I have a couple short ones that came with my kits, however I never use them as the provide less leverage then my 12" ratchet. I use my 15" Matco one almost daily on caliper bolts and it brakes them free with no issues.

I agree, skip the short ones and buy one at least 15" long

I think one should have multiple length breaker bars in all drives, between working on cars, trucks, farm equipment and industrial maintenance in multiple industries I've learned one thing is they all have their applications.

I've had tight bolts where I've had to put a 10" breaker with a socket into a recess that was so torqued that obviously had been put in before the subassemblies were put together. In this case I had to put a lifting sling around the breaker bar's handle and ran the sling up to a forklift fork and used the hydraulics of the forklift to loosen that bolt. Had I not of bad that small breaker bar that machine would of been down another two days to get to that part.

Can't go wrong with the HF 18" 3/8" drive breaker bar; it's handy when there is only limited space to swing the handle. For larger bolts I use a 1/2" drive bar, either 18" or 24" long depending on how much room is available to swing the handle.

I have a real nice MAC one with the yellow hard handle. I don't think that I have ever needed to use it though.

I have the snapon soft handle one. Great bar. 13" long and it's nice to put force on and not hurt your hand.
