Are these actually solid Titanium, or just a titanium colour painted/anodized finish?

The ad and price leads me to believe the latter. "fully polished next generation ratchet our thinnest to date with a stunning graphite titanium finish"

Its not available up here anyways, but im just curious.

Indeed, just the Ti coating. But cheaper than the standard chrome plus a wood box if that's your thing.

It scratches. I've seen some of the blue ones that were scratched up.

I picked up a couple of blue ones last year when they were on clearance for 19.95 for a ratchet and matching blue sockets in the wood case. They only get used when I have friends wrenching with me (I have an old snapon that is my go-to 3/8" ratchet). With the limited use, the blue has not shown signs of scratching off.

On a side note, Craftsman doesn't seem to understand that a tool needs to have a much more limited run to become collectible. I mean really... something stamped 2006 Limited Edition, and they are still trying to clear them out when it is almost 2010?

There may be something to that . Regular price was something like $80:wtf: thats alot for that ratchet.

Might make a good spare for my truck but thats about it. No different than any of the other Chicom "stuff" in my eyes.

At $25 theres a lot of good ratchets, like the Craftsman (Easco) flex head for $21. I have an original Easco, and its one of my faves.
