3/8 Drive 5/8 torque Adaptor For Aircraft Use

Quite a long time ago, I picked up this torque adaptor in a job lot of tools.





It's not too clear, but in the second picture, the bottom line reads "F84F" which I assume is the aircraft it was for use on i.e. the Republic Thunderstreak. Can anyone confirm that?

Also anyone got any idea as to the maker of the tool?

How would torque values be figured using that?

Like it says on it. Use in line (with a torque wrench) reading 550 inch pounds.

In the maintenance publications for the Aircraft any specialized tools other general purpose. After the section detailing what service or repair undertaking, was a listing of special tools required to complete the task. Most manufactured by tool companies for the original product. I have Pratt & Whitney, radial engine tools, marked with Pratt & Whitney and Plumb. The same listing would also detail if you would have to local manufacture (diy) tools.
