3/8 drive deep metric socket set

need some suggestions on a inexpensive 3/8 drive metric deep socket set. prefer 6 point. i am looking at the kobalt set but it is 12 point. i want to buy these as a gift for a coworker. looking for sizes 8mm-19mm or 10-19mm something like that

Dont know what you want to spend, But craftsman sells a nice 6pt set of metrics...If you dont want any "skips" in the sizes, Its a little more..but Amazon has amazon has a nice S-K set right now.

I just added the GW 3/8 metric deep set to my box at work, $30.99 at Advance Auto. I also pieced together a complete GW 1/2 drive set from various internet sellers. I don't use either a lot at work, but need to have them. The quality is excellent at the price point. There are some real deep discounts on GW if you shop around the 'net.

I just ordered a 12 pt set from craftsman that's 9 metric and 9 sae I believe and it was 25 dollars shipped to my house.

I never thought I'd hear myself say it, but, old Craftsman.
I'm assembling a metric set (shallow and deep) of "G" code Craftsman, and I'm finding alot of them at thrift stores, pawn shops, and used tool joints. My sets are 80% and 50% complete. Been looking maybe a month or so.

You still can't go wrong with the Craftsman 6points for a nice price. Make sure they say USA.

I would get SK, or Wright. If I had to buy China or Taiwan I'd get Gearwrench. Look on the classified section on this site. You might find a nice Snap On set for a good price.

i ended up getting the kobalt set. it was 16 bucks after tax. sizes 8-19 skipping the 16mm. we do not use the 16mm at work so no big deal.

i just got the HF 3/8 metric deep socket for $10 and boy are they nice. Easy to read and a nice finish. They go from 10mm-19mm with some skips.
