In flip sockets, Ken-Tool has 3/8" flip sockets in smaller metric sizes (14-17, 19) with 6pt side / twist-removal side. And Snap on as mentioned above.
Other than that, search out thinwall impact sockets.

When Tekton released their new 3/8” impact sockets earlier this year, I bought a 21mm just to try out. It works very well as a thin wall lug nut socket - it’s as thin as my Gearwrench chrome 3/8” 21mm, and broached a bit deeper than my Gearwrench 3/8” impact. Made in Taiwan, priced affordably. Here’s a pic compared to the Gearwrench 3/8” chrome and impact deep sockets:

Another question, are those sockets with plastic inserts inside to keep from scratching any good?

my solution when I was a mechanic-wrap the socket about 2" high with blue painters tape. it lasts quite a while and you dont scratch stuff with it

I realize there's a lot of Tekton fans here on GLP, but Tekton's regular length and deep impact sockets are almost all made from chromium-vanadium (Cr-V). Cr-V allows for thinner socket walls, but Cr-V is also more brittle. As a result, Cr-V sockets can be more dangerous if you are not taking commonly recommended safety precautions while using impact tools.

Chromium-molybdenum (Cr-Mo) sockets usually cost a little bit more and they are often a bit thicker walled, but they are a better and safer choice whenever possible for impact use. Only Tekton's lug nut flip sockets, their larger sized 1/2" drive impact sockets, and some of their 3/4" drive impact sockets are Cr-Mo.
