I absolutely love my Armstrong 11-994 locking flex head but I was just looking around and they're listed as out of stock. If Armstrong isn't making them anymore that really *****, ....

Apex shut down Armstrong :-(

I've been looking for a quick release, long/straight handled, small headed locking flex head for a while now, since my long handled Apex/Allen floppy head flipped and flopped its head and made a hard job even harder by not staying on the bolt head. I have yet to find a purpose for this thing where it actually works. I had to use another rod to keep it on its task.

Bent handle flex head literally won't fit where I'm using it (straight shot down between S-Belt and inner fender).

This morning I ordered the Carlyle, thanks to you bunch of enablers. For some reason I got another $5 in rewards money to use against it, well, I did buy $50 of wipers for my fleet last month, but I got $5 back then, too.

Iv'e been at this a long time..seen all the tool trucks come and go..have ratchets from all of them. My SO hard handles have been my favorites for a long time..but i have had the one you just bought for about 6 months..and i love it...think you will too.. Please report back after you have used it a while..

Newbie12 The Williams B-54 flex, is 80 teeth and very smooth. Same gear as the Williams B-52, the newer design is B-52A and a different ratchet mechanism. They can be hard to find, but worth the search. Do a search on GJ for the reviews.

I'd like to have a Carlyle locking flex but want a hard handle. Has anyone peeled the soft handle off a Carlyle to see what's under it...smooth or bumps to snag the rubber?

Another vote for the Carlyle stuff from Napa, I was in the same boat about a month ago and someone HERE recommended them. So i ordered 1/4 flex, 3/8 flex, 1/2'' flex and an extra long 3/8'' and 1/2'' and so far they are my favorites
