3/8 impact wrench

I bought this Cornwell CAT-351HD 3/8" pneumatic impact wrench with the intention of starting a how-to on locked up rotors and vane replacement.This impact was economical and advertised as not working. It came in the mail today, so I immediately head out to the shop to try it out. I plugged it to air and tried it in forward..no workie, in reverse..WORKIE, in forward..WORKIE!! I oiled it up and tested it on a few bolts...works like new. I am a bit disappointed that it worked without having to do surgery, but I now own a pretty good 3/8 impact that didn't put a dent in my pocket.

But, you really should pull it apart and find out why it wouldn't go the first time

If you are looking for an impact ratchet to take apart and try to fix, I have just the impact for you. Its a Craftsman I bought a long time ago off of Ebay. It was advertsed as brand new. It came with an air hammer and a 3/8 ratchet. The hammer and the ratchet have been great and I have used them quite a bit. The 1/2" impact hasn't worked from day one.

Yeah, it seemed as loud as a race car
